I head back down the hall with a scowl and a weariness never before known to me.

I slam my shoulder hard against the blockade door. Pain rings in my shoulder. The screaming continues. I slam my shoulder in again. And again. And again. The door won't open.
Eventually my shoulder aches, the screaming stops, and the steadfast door mocks me. I shuffle on down the hall. My footfalls echo loudly in the silence.

Well, quiet rooms have been good to me before. At least it isn't screaming or... singing...

Shaking the door handle, I take a step back, and go shoulder first.

After one quick shove, and a sharp reminder of the pain of the last door, I leave it be. Rubbing my arm I wander on down the hallway.
An adventure in which YOU are the hero! Thrill as you fail to break down doors, run from fights, and generally be ineffectual!
I kid, but I'm glad I made Henrietta the way I did. It would be embarrassing to be playing someone who was supposed to be competent failing to open doors. This is why it's important to characterize in accordance with stat rolls.
To recap, I just spent six sections failing to open doors. Considering that there were at least two more sections for successfully opening doors and the rooms beyond, that means this little bit took up at least 8 sections of the book. That's 2% of the total 400 sections. You can probably tell that these adventures aren't terribly long. If I weren't writing a blog I could probably have torn through this in an evening.
