You know, a snake lunging out of a box deserves a visual. The book doesn't have one, so here's mine:

Round 1:
Snake takes 2 damage! 2 Stamina -2 Damage is... everybody get 0? Snake is dead.
I smash the iron frame of my lantern down on the menace as hard as I can! The frame dents, and the snake... well, it doesn't have much a head left. Poor thing. I can't help but feel I've killed someone's pet. Shouldn't bring snakes into the house, anyways.

"Oh," I say to no one in particular. I glance around a moment. "Adventurer, Henrietta," I remind myself. I pick up the key, and blow out the candle. After a little consideration, I take the candle too. Lantern oil won't last forever, right?
My first kill as an Adventurer complete, I head back into the hall.
You may have noticed that 363 has been a possible location for several sections now. No matter what you do before it, that section is waiting because it's the next part of the hall. I mostly bring this up because I know, in a few books, the idea of visiting the same section from different sections will become a very important aspect to at least some of the books.
